Just replied "stop" and it said it would stop. If I keep receiving messages I will find out and sue because I'm a lawyer so I hope it stops

I have been charged £1-50 from this number 83338 I don't know who they are how do I stop it from happening again? does anyone know who this is?

Got a mystery text informing me that I have been charged one pound fifty from their mobile manager program from...that's right....83338.
Have emailed their customer service to get my money back.

Today (17th April 2012) at 10:26 I have received a SMS message from the number 83338 informing me that I have purchased a NMM 1-month license. I am not aware and have no intention to make this purchase.

downloaded free app called "call blocker" about 9 months ago suddenly got messesage from company behind" netquin call blocker"today saying"Thanks for purchasing a NMM 1-months license. £1.50 will be added to your phone bill. For help 08702420277 or customersupport@netqin.com".I did not respond because the return number might be a premium number scam,i have contacted vodafone tomae sure that this charge will not be added as i did not provide any financial details to netquin,i am just waiting now to see what happens

Hi, just fell foul of this scam today. Was using the app but a pop-up came up out of nowhere as I was about to press the screen. Was then informed by text that they would be charging me £1.50. Sent them a strongly worded e-mail from an e-mail account that I don't mind deleting if they spam me. Then seen this site and text 'Stop' and got a reply back saying my stop request has been processed. Not sure if I will get a £1.50 charge on next months bill, have to wait and see. Will not be sticking my head in the sand about it if I do.

it said premeium messaging to this number has been blocked only the account owner may request a change to this setting with his/her wireless sevice provider

My son who is 12 years suddenly received a text saying "Thanks for purchasing a NMM 1-months license. £1.50 will be added to your phone bill." we did reply STOP and got a reply that he will "receive no more texts". will have to find out if we actually got charged and what to do about that.

Why can't something be done about this, can they actually take any money from me??

Log a complaint with phonepayplus, they are an extension of Ofcom, for complaints regarding premium rate numbers, I just have.

In Any case, send HELP to 83338 to get information on how to contact the company sending you texts.

First I called my service provider who were kind enough to put me thru to the company and remove the charge from my bill. No reply, just an answer phone. Left a msg saying I wanted to be deleted from their database and that they were bang out of order sending their fake messages...still no rely. Also text STOP and received a msg saying it was acknowledged and I would not receive further texts. We'll see! But if it continues there will be CONSEQUENCES.
