I found the phone number for cooltonemobile.com and called it. I spoke to a live person, they cancelled the service and said they would issue a refund check for $9.99 because I told them I never subscribed to the service. I never did. I would recommend EVERYONE calling this number - 1800 416 6129 for a live operator - for a refund. Then contact your cell phone company and complain to them. Maybe if enough people complain, the service will stop doing this. I know, wishful thinking! But worth a few minutes of your time. :)

Yes. They said STOP was texted within seconds after activated but had to call for refund. 2-3 weeks for a check.

Joyce - that was great info thank you very much. They said we had entered our ph # online and subscribed to some IQ test - all crap. We never entered our ph # online. But the ph # Joyce listed worked, they've removed our cell # from their data base and are supposedly refunding us.

I took out chicken from the freezer this morning to thaw on the counter and at 12:30 p.m. I received a text from 39723 about NOT defrosting chicken on the counter. I'm freaked out!

Started seeing 9.99 a month appear on bill two months ago. Did not subscribe to this service, whatever it is! I think its crap that Verizon says they cant do anything about it and you have to deal directly with cooltonemobile. They just start sending texts to phone #'s and then charge for it! Bogus! I tried unsubscribe but so far still appears on my bill. Someone needs to put these criminals out of business!

I never replied to these unsolicted text messages and just ignored them as spam. Yet, a charge of $9.99 a month started appearing on my bill.

I just did a STOP and received a UR now unsubscribed from cooltonemobile.com. Support 8002357105. It remains to be seen if it works.

I contacted ATT by chat, and they removed the last two months charges of $9.99 each. They also put a purchase blocker on the line so that a PIN has to be entered for purchases, and gave me a PIN.

I did not bother to try and contact the company.

I receive a text message and I replied stop, but I was still charged the 9.99. I took the advise from the Joyce up on the top and I called 18004166129... she said it was from Cool Tone Mobibe.com

I explained that I never been to that website, so she is sending me a check for 9.99... I know it's not a lot of money, by for me it's the idea of being scammed... if everybody complains, it makes harder for them.

I hope I will get the check :)

We have been charged for this twice now without ever accepting this service. The people behind this are criminals. Fight Verizon to get your money back...they will comply with pressure.

I called AT&T. Jeremy said that he will refund me all the money paid over last four months. He removed the service and advised me to put a block on future purchases.

He said that others also had similar complaints.

Charged 9.99. Have been sending message since at least February 2013 UNSOLICITED.
